This School and Vocational Training Centre was established on July 8, 2023, with a vision to transform lives in a community often overlooked and underserved. This initiative was born from a belief that every child deserves access to quality education and every woman deserves the opportunity to be empowered, regardless of their socio-economic status. The centre became a beacon of hope, offering both education and vocational training to children and women, providing them with the tools to change their lives and contribute meaningfully to society.

For children from low-income families, the Eilya Inclusive School opened doors to a brighter future. Basic education was offered with a tailored approach, respecting their unique challenges and aspirations. It wasn’t just about teaching lessons from textbooks; it was about nurturing dreams, instilling hope, and building the confidence needed to break the cycle of poverty. Every smile, every milestone reached by these young students was a testament to the potential that lies in even the most disadvantaged circumstances when given the right support.

For women in the community, the Vocational Training Centre represented a chance to regain agency over their lives. The stitching unit, a cornerstone of the initiative, was more than a training space—it was a symbol of empowerment. Women who once felt trapped by their circumstances learned valuable skills that not only boosted their confidence but also opened up new economic opportunities. As they stitched and created, they wove a narrative of resilience, independence, and hope for themselves and their families.

But the journey was not without its challenges. From the very beginning, resource constraints tested the project’s resilience. Insufficient funding made it difficult to sustain operations, offer adequate salaries, and provide necessary resources for growth. Staff retention became an ongoing struggle, as dedicated educators and trainers were forced to seek more stable opportunities due to the lack of competitive compensation. Despite the passion and commitment of everyone involved, financial limitations ultimately forced the branch to close its doors on February 5, 2024—a heartbreaking decision for all who believed in the transformative power of the centre.

Yet, even in closure, the Eilya Inclusive School and Vocational Training Centre in Nawaz Park leaves behind a legacy of hope and inspiration. It demonstrated that with the right support, inclusive education and skill development can uplift entire communities, creating paths to self-sufficiency and dignity. The stories of the children who learned to read and write, the women who gained confidence and independence, and the community members who rallied behind a cause greater than themselves, will forever echo as reminders of what is possible when we come together for change.

Eilya Care Foundation remains committed to continuing its mission of empowerment and inclusion, despite the challenges faced. We hold on to the belief that every life touched through our efforts is a step closer to a world where no one is left behind. As we reflect on the work done in Nawaz Park, we are determined to find new ways to bring hope, education, and opportunity to those who need it most. Together, we can continue to create lasting change.
