The Success Stories section of the Eilya Care Foundation highlighting the transformative journeys of children and young adults navigating significant physical, cognitive, and developmental barriers.. Individuals like Ibrahim Ehsan and Areesha Ehsan, who faced obstacles such as brain damage and developmental delays, have achieved milestones in mobility and communication through the foundation’s dedicated physiotherapy and education programs.
Ibrahim Ehsan is the son of Madam Iram, a devoted teacher at Eilya. From the moment he was born, Ibrahim faced challenges; he did not cry, resulting in damage to one part of his brain.
His mother recalls countless visits to children’s hospitals in hopes of finding the right support and therapy. When Ibrahim was just a baby, he suffered a neck injury that took a year and a half to heal. By the time he turned three, he began to sit up, marking a significant milestone in his development.
In 2019, at the age of nine, Ibrahim was admitted to Eilya, where he received both education and physiotherapy. Over time, he began to show remarkable improvement. Initially unable to hold objects, he gradually learned to stand by supporting himself and eventually could hold a pencil and color.
Now, at 14 years old, Ibrahim has made incredible strides. His mother, who dreams of him being able to take care of himself, is grateful for the progress he has made. Madam Iram expresses her satisfaction with Eilya and believes wholeheartedly that her son will continue to thrive.
Areesha was born in 2015, and everything seemed fine at first. However, when she reached her ninth month, she fell ill with a high fever and fainted for about 25 to 30 minutes.
Her mother noticed that Areesha was developing slowly; she struggled to walk and had difficulty speaking. Concerned for her daughter’s well-being, her mother took her to Lahore, where doctors diagnosed Areesha with developmental delays.
In 2019, Areesha and her mother moved to Eilya, where she began receiving the care she needed. The treatment included education and physiotherapy, which greatly benefited her.
Over time, Areesha made significant progress; she started to speak more clearly and was able to walk better. Her mother expressed her hopes for Areesha, wishing for her to develop more effective communication and regulation tools to foster social connections.
Areesha’s mother emphasized her desire for her daughter to become independent, and she felt that Eilya was playing a crucial role in helping her achieve that goal. With the support and resources available, Areesha was on a path toward greater independence and a brighter future.
Jahangir joined Eliya in 2015, navigating intellectual barriers and developing self-regulation skills. His anger led to conflicts at school and strained his relationships with family and friends.
Through cognitive-behavioural strategies and anger management techniques introduced by our dedicated team, Jahangir learned to control his emotions. Today, he can interact positively with others, having developed emotional regulation skills and improved social connections.
Jahangir’s experience underlines the power of therapy and self-awareness, reminding us that personal growth is always possible with the right support.
When Daniyal first joined Eilya Care, he was navigating significant learning barriers that deeply affected his abilities in reading, writing, and mathematics. These academic challenges, coupled with bullying, had taken a toll on his self-esteem, leaving him feeling isolated and discouraged.
Through personalized multisensory teaching techniques tailored to his specific needs, Daniyal began to show remarkable improvement, particularly in reading and math. As he gained confidence in his abilities, his perseverance and dedication paid off—not only in the classroom but also in extracurricular activities.
Daniyal excelled in various fields, becoming one of Eilya’s top students and even participating in the APS Sports Festival 2023 alongside mainstream students. His hard work and resilience led him to transition to a mainstream school, marking a significant achievement in his academic journey.
Daniyal’s transformation serves as a powerful example of how personalized education and the right support system can turn academic barriers into success. His story inspires hope that every learner, no matter the challenges, can thrive with dedication and the right guidance.
Rizwan, diagnosed with Down syndrome, came to Eliya Care Foundation at age 9. His initial challenges included speech disorders, poor hygiene habits, and a weak pencil grasp. He showed little interest in daily activities.
Our team developed a personalized approach to address each of these accessibility needs, and after two years of continuous effort, Rizwan achieved tremendous progress. Today, he has successfully reintegrated into daily life, maintaining his health and setting an inspiring example for others with similar conditions.
His journey showcases that with determination and structured support, even the most environmental barriers can be navigated.
Ibrahim came to us at 13 years old, grappling with Cerebral Palsy and sensory challenges. He faced immense obstacles in mobility and communication, but with an individualized plan crafted by our team, Ibrahim embraced physical and Communication Excellence.
