I am Samia Farrukh, proud to serve as the Information Secretary for the Eilya Care Foundation. My journey with Eilya began through a cherished, long-standing friendship with its founder, a bond forged during our middle school years. This close connection has made supporting Eilya's mission feel both personal and deeply rewarding.
In my professional life, I lead as a director of a construction business company, a role that has allowed me to develop strong networks and impactful outreach skills. Director
I am Tariq Mehmood, and my journey with the Eilya Care Foundation is one I hold close to my heart. Introduced to this incredible cause through my sister-in-law, Mrs. Saira Osmani, co-founder of Eilya, I immediately recognized the profound impact the foundation could have in the lives of individuals with special needs. As a bank manager at the time, I was committed to using my expertise and resources to support this transformative vision.
My early contributions centered around fundraising efforts essential for the purchase of land and the establishment of Eilya's school building. Navigating complex legal and financial processes to bring this dream to fruition was both challenging and rewarding. I was honored to play a part in laying the groundwork for what Eilya has become today—a beacon of hope and opportunity for many.
Now retired, my commitment to Eilya remains unwavering. I continue to lend my support, sharing my experience and providing counsel whenever needed. Witnessing the growth and success of Eilya's programmes reaffirms the significance of this work. As we move forward, I am dedicated to assisting in the foundation's ongoing development, helping to create a nurturing and inclusive environment for all who seek its care. Together, we are building not only structures but brighter futures for countless families.
Finance Secretary
I am Rashid Mehmood, a proud first and dedicated member of the Eilya Care Foundation team, serving as the Finance Secretary. I have known Eilya's founder, Nadia Kamran Raza, as a long-time family friend, which makes my connection to this remarkable organization deeply personal and meaningful. My professional experience spans years of leadership, including my role as Deputy General Manager (Supply chain) at Masood Textile Mills, where I honed my skills in finance, operations, and management.
My journey with Eilya has been incredibly rewarding. I have supported our Employment Project, led by the founder, to become a reality. This endeavor saw Syed Hamza Ishfaq gain employment, not only fostering his financial independence but also uplifting his entire family—a testament to Eilya's mission of empowerment.
As Finance Secretary, I am deeply committed to the ongoing success of Eilya. I work diligently to establish and maintain robust financial systems, ensuring accurate accounts management, annual audits, training, and registration matters are handled with precision. My focus remains on sustaining and expanding employment opportunities, further developing training programmes, and enhancing financial transparency to drive Eilya's growth. Together, we strive to create a more inclusive and empowering environment for all.
Director & Information Secretary
As a professor and educationist with 18 years of experience in the education sector, my passion has always been to create meaningful impacts in society. Eight years ago, my personal and professional paths converged in a profound way when I sought a school that could truly understand and cater to the unique needs of my special child. That search led me to Eliya Care Homes—a haven for children with special needs, addressing behavioural, physical, mental, and even financial challenges.
From the moment I entrusted my child to Eliya, I witnessed the care, understanding, and dedication they provide to every student. This inspired me to become an active contributor to their mission. Over the years, my involvement grew deeper, culminating in my current role as a proud member of their board. Through my journey with Eliya, I have recognized the immense unmet needs of children with special requirements, particularly in Pakistan's underprivileged and rural areas.
Eliya Care Homes has become more than a school—it is a movement to empower special children, nurture their potential, and advocate for their rights. I envision Eliya Care Homes expanding into a nationwide network, reaching backward areas where the upbringing and education of special children remain neglected. Together, we can build an inclusive future where every child, regardless of their challenges, receives the love, support, and education they deserve.
Vice President
As the Director of Eilya Care Foundation, I, Mehwish Rizwan, feel deeply honored and immensely proud to be part of this incredible journey. I am truly inspired by our esteemed CEO, Ms. Nadia Raza, and Sir Kamran, whose unwavering dedication to the well-being of children with special needs has set a remarkable example for us all. They have devoted their lives to creating a better future for these children, and I strive to support their vision in every possible way.
Eilya holds a special place in my heart, and I am committed to offering my utmost—physically, financially, and in every capacity—to ensure its success. Seeing the courage and resilience of the children motivates me every single day. Despite their suffering, they greet each day with gratitude, hope, and dignity, teaching us invaluable lessons about perseverance and faith. They are my greatest source of inspiration, reminding us all of the importance of kindness in a world that can often be harsh.
My vision for Eilya is to see it flourish into a fully constructed, well-equipped building—a second home where students, staff, and families can find comfort, learning, and rehabilitation. This dream is not just mine but belongs to everyone at Eilya. I pray that Allah makes this vision a reality, granting ease and blessings to all those working tirelessly toward this cause.
With gratitude and hope, I dedicate myself to this noble mission and offer my heartfelt prayers for the success of our CEO, directors, team members, and, most importantly, our amazing students. InshaAllah, with Allah's guidance, Eilya will continue to grow and bring positive change to the lives of countless children and their families.
Syed Mazhar Abbas Naqvi
Joint Secretary
I am Syed Mazhar Abbas Naqvi, a retired principal of the Government Staff Training College in Faisalabad, Pakistan. My life took a transformative turn when I began seeking support for my daughter, Emaan Fatima, who was diagnosed at 19 with Friedreich's Ataxia. I wanted to find services that would address her physiotherapy needs and provide meaningful social interaction.
During my visit to Eilya, I met Sister Nadia Kamran Raza. While taking Emaan's history, she expressed a strong interest in meeting my eldest son, Zaheer Murtaza, who was 25 and confined to bed. Though initially skeptical about how it would work, her persistence convinced me to bring both children to Eilya in early 2016.
What followed was a remarkable transformation. Emaan and Zaheer found a new sense of purpose and joy. They made friends and began to thrive in an environment of acceptance. Their behaviour, outlook on life, and daily activities improved dramatically, helping them grow despite their medical conditions.
My journey with Eilya extended beyond that of a parent. I became involved as the lead for the Parent-Teacher Group, organizing annual events like the Wheelchair Walk and representing Eilya on platforms such as Radio Pakistan and the Faisalabad Press Club.
For the past five years, since my retirement, I have proudly served as the Joint Secretary of Eilya Care Foundation. I remain dedicated to championing Eilya's mission throughout my life, knowing its profound ability to bring transformation and hope.
Director
I am Robina Ajmal, Director of Noor Fatima Textile Mills and a proud supporter of Eilya Care Foundation. My journey with Eilya began through a lifelong friendship with Mrs. Nadia Kamran Raza, whom I met in 1993. Over the years, our bond has deepened, especially after Nadia returned from England to settle in Faisalabad. Her passion for supporting children with disabilities was evident in her constant comparisons of the facilities available in the UK versus Pakistan.
Having two younger brothers with disabilities, I was deeply moved by Nadia's experiences and her vision to make a difference in the lives of children with special needs. When she decided to establish Eilya Care Foundation and invited me to join the initiative, I saw it as an incredible opportunity to contribute to a cause close to my heart.
Since then, I have committed myself to supporting the project in every possible way. My children, particularly my son Umer Ajmal, share my enthusiasm for this mission. Umer has been instrumental in helping Eilya identify new building sites and fostering connections between the foundation, professionals, and industries for additional support.
Being part of Eilya Care Foundation has been a fulfilling journey, allowing me to blend my personal experiences and professional resources to help create a better future for individuals with special needs. I am honored to contribute to this noble cause and will continue to do so with unwavering dedication.
