Areesha was born in 2015, and everything seemed fine at first. However, when she reached her ninth month, she fell ill with a high fever and fainted for about 25 to 30 minutes.

Her mother noticed that Areesha was developing slowly; she struggled to walk and had difficulty speaking. Concerned for her daughter’s well-being, her mother took her to Lahore, where doctors diagnosed Areesha with developmental delays.

In 2019, Areesha and her mother moved to Eilya, where she began receiving the care she needed. The treatment included education and physiotherapy, which greatly benefited her.

Over time, Areesha made significant progress; she started to speak more clearly and was able to walk better. Her mother expressed her hopes for Areesha, wishing for her to correct her behaviour, as she often became furious quickly. Areesha’s mother emphasized her desire for her daughter to become independent, and she felt that Eilya was playing a crucial role in helping her achieve that goal. With the support and resources available, Areesha was on a path toward greater independence and a brighter future.
