Turab joined the Eilya Care Foundation at the age of 15 in 2015. He was the first student there, and his presence was foundational for the home. When Turab arrived, he faced significant physical and mental disabilities, including speech issues that made communication difficult. He struggled to understand and articulate his thoughts and was entirely dependent on his parents and siblings for basic needs like food and clothing.
Turab exhibited aggressive behaviour and was often angry, making it hard for him to connect with others; he had no friends and frequently lashed out, refusing to pay attention during activities.
He also had a phobia of complaints, fearing that someone would tell his parents and he would be reprimanded, which intensified his aggression. Upon entering the care home, the special physiotherapist and staff provided him with intensive therapy and dedicated attention.
Over time, Turab began to show signs of recovery. His speech gradually improved, and physically, he started to regain some ability. His grip strengthened, allowing him to eat independently and change his clothes on his own. He began participating in activities and became more friendly, with a significant reduction in his aggressive behaviour and complaints.
Now, after nine years at the Eilya Care Foundation, Turab is 17 years old and has made remarkable progress. His disabilities have greatly improved, and he has developed a more normal behaviour. He is on his way to becoming independent, marking his journey as a true success story.
