Our Journey
Eilya Care Foundation was founded in 2015 by Mrs. Nadia Gillani and Mr. Kamran Raza, driven by their belief in the power of inclusion to foster dignity and self-worth in every child. Their mission from the beginning was clear: to help children with special needs, often overlooked by society, shine brightly and succeed in a world that tends to dismiss them.
The foundation's journey traces back to 1998 when Ms. Nadia, after completing her Master's from Punjab University, developed a deep compassion for individuals with special needs. Her passion led her to work in the UK for 14 years, but her life took a pivotal turn in 2011 when her father suffered a debilitating stroke that left him unable to speak, see, or move. This personal experience gave Ms. Nadia the strength to return to Pakistan and focus on helping those who needed it most. One of the foundation's first students was Turaab, a young boy suffering from Cerebral Palsy. Turaab was initially rejected by society and labeled "disabled," but under Ms. Nadia's care, he began to thrive. His transformation became the cornerstone of Eilya Care Foundation, turning the vision of helping children with special needs into a reality. Turaab's success proved that with the right care and support, every child, no matter their challenge, could succeed.
Today, Eilya Care Foundation serves 115 students, ranging in age from 3 to 36 years, and supports children with 28 different types of special needs. The foundation provides these children with the opportunity to grow, develop, and make a positive impact on the world around them. Turaab, once considered "disabled," has shown remarkable progress over the years and is now more independent and calmer, embodying the success and spirit of the foundation. The foundation has become a sanctuary for these children, where they not only survive but thrive, finding a home and a community that embraces them. As Ms. Nadia says, “EILYA is our home; it is our sanctuary,” symbolizing the safe, nurturing space it provides for children with special needs to flourish.
Our Impact
Eilya Care Foundation is more than just a care center—it is a movement of empowerment, inclusion, and transformation. Over the years, we have achieved key milestones that speak to our unwavering commitment:
Awareness Seminars: Conducted 50+ awareness seminars in leading schools, colleges, and universities, promoting Equal Rights & Equal Opportunities for All irrespective of their disabilities.
Internship Programmes: Partnered with leading institutes, providing 8 years of continuous internship opportunities.
Volunteer Mobilization: Mobilized over 1000 volunteers, all working towards making an impact.
Staff Deployment: Trained and placed 119 staff members in public and private sectors.
Research Opportunities: Facilitated valuable research experiences for over 1000 students from top universities, including students from fine arts, information technology, textile industry, psychology, and physiotherapy departments.
Inclusive Education: Successfully transitioned 50 students to mainstream schools.
Vocational Training: Empowered 35+ students with practical skills, paving their way for future success.

In the heart of Eilya Care Foundation lies a deep love for humanity—a love that I believe Allah placed in our hearts as the very purpose of our existence. This love is not just a guiding principle for our work; it is the essence of who we are. It compels us to reach out, embrace, and uplift every soul we encounter.
To me, Eilya is more than just a charity, it is my own endeavor, stemmed from my passion, nurtured with care, and grown with every beat of my heart. This is not a profession—it is my life’s mission and calling. My vision for Eilya is to create a place where the word inclusion takes on a new and profound meaning. Here, there are no boundaries, no walls that separate us. Everyone, regardless of their background or abilities, is equally valued, respected, and given the opportunity to shine in their own unique way. As we move forward, we do so hand in hand with our community, raising our voices together to advocate for equal rights and opportunities for all. We are dedicated to supporting those with special needs and addressing challenges related to accessibility, medical care, neurological, behavioral, and physical issues, as well as speech and language, psychosocial, and emotional difficulties. Every challenge faced by one of us is a call to action for all of us.
What drives me every day is the dream of creating a model of inclusion that is not just an idea but a living, breathing reality. A place where every individual feels safe, protected, and, most importantly, like they belong. At Eilya, no one is left behind, and no one is forgotten. Here, we are all family. Eilya is by all of us, and Eilya is for all of us. Together, we are building a future where love, respect, and opportunity are not just words but the foundation of everything we do.
