Ahmed Ali Raza joined the Eilya Care Foundation six years ago in 2019, when he was 12 years old. He was diagnosed with physical disabilities, which included the inability to speak or hear. Ahmed relied on signs and gestures for communication and exhibited a not-so- friendly demeanor, often isolating himself from others.
He faced challenges with mobility, as he could only walk with the help of one leg, and his height was significantly shorter than average for his age.
However, over the past six years, Ahmed has made remarkable progress. Now 18 years old, he has benefited greatly from the care, attention, and numerous therapy sessions provided by the staff. He has developed the ability to socialize using signs and gestures, and his understanding of communication has improved significantly. His behaviour has transformed; he is now much friendlier and actively participates in class and other activities.
In addition to his social improvements, Ahmed has developed a keen interest in his studies. His academic performance has also shown considerable growth; he quickly picks up new concepts and retains information well.
Ahmed enjoys sharing his lunch with classmates, further demonstrating his newfound social skills. His journey is a true success story, showcasing his resilience and the positive impact of the care home on his life.
